Councils

The Executive Council is the Board of Directors and claims sole responsibility for implementing and furthering the purpose of Imani Community UCC, which includes but is not limited to financial, personnel, membership, worship and leadership decisions. All Executive Council decisions, with the exception of personnel issues, shall be open for congregational discussion.

The Church Council is comprised of the chairs of each committee and is appointed by the Pastor. The Church Council meets at least quarterly to discuss the progress goals, objectives and responsibilities of each committee.

The Finance Committee and Treasurer is responsible for paying all bills and payment requests, creating financial statements and financial reports of the Church expenses and income. Members of the Finance Committee are recommended by the Pastor and are elected by the Congregation represented with a seat on the Executive Council and the Church Council.
